张江花园城市 —— 一个位于浦东中心区位置的全新生活中心，一个未来的宜居社区。一个健康的生活方式需要一个健康且具有吸引力的城市。这里的空气是干净的，每一个人都能在这里找到适宜的目的地。
多样性彰显了城市区域的繁荣。张江花园城市通过提供一系列多样的住房类型、教育环境、就业和社交机会，打造健康的景观开放空间，来迎接一个崭新多样的生活方式。
张江花园城市的基础设计理念源于一个很简单的构思 —— 区域道路及河道构成主要框架，一根优雅的树枝在区域内蜿蜒地伸展开来，并生长出三片充满生机的绿色树叶。
三个邻里社区以及三个中心公园，社区中的每个人都能便捷地进入到一个迷人的开放空间，参与多样的活动，享受健康的生活方式。河道及绿化网络构筑了一个完整的开放空间系统 ，为张江花园城市打造了一个扎实的健康基础，同时也为区域内的居民提供了活动及休闲的空间。绿化公园以及步行连接包含了供居民短途步行的绿廊，并通过其将安静私密的花园，健身活动场所，及大型的公共广场和滨水空间连接起来。
交通连接是一个城市的命脉，张江花园城市的交通规划囊括了各种交通类型，不仅将区域内各地块很好地连接起来，也能便捷地通往国际医学园区及上海其他地区。一条极具吸引力的景观大道将成为张江花园城市的中心轴线，贯通城市南北，并有机地连接起三个中心公园。“2条林荫大道为主，多条街道为辅”的道路系统，为区域打造了兼具魅力景观及城市界面的顺畅连接。通过增加区域内支路的密度，为区域内居民提供更便捷的交通服务，为日常生活提供更安静的居住及学校街道。
一个健康且成功的城市需要有强大的基础服务设施来支撑。张江花园城市所提供的服务设施涉及面广，包括了社会活动、健康、文化、娱乐等。“稳固的边界+开放的中心”的规划策略，将相对密度较高的住宅布置在基地的边缘，更接近于已规划的地铁站。这样也就使得三个社区的中心成为了多样的且具有吸引力的社区生活中心。中心轴是一条将公众生活串联起来的轴线，沿着林荫大道在张江花园城市的中心布置了所有主要的社区基础设施。

A healthy lifestyle needs a healthy and attractive city, where the air is clean and there are attractive destinations for everyone.
Diversity equals prosperity. Zhangjiang Garden City welcomes a diversity of lifestyle opportunities by providing a range of housing types, education environments, employment and social opportunities, and healthy landscaped spaces.
The strategy of “strong edges – open centres” positions higher residential densities at the site perimeter, close to planned metro stations. This allows for the centres of the 3 neighbourhoods to be diverse social attractors for community life.
Three neighbourhoods and three central parks – where everyone has easy access to beautiful open space, diverse activities, and a healthy lifestyle. An integrated open space system – the blue + green network – ensures a healthy foundation for the Zhangjiang Garden City, as well as providing for movement and relaxation spaces for residents. Green parks and pedestrian links are within a few minutes walk of everyone, ranging from quiet intimate gardens, to exercise and playgrounds, to grand public plazas and waterfronts.
Movement is the lifeblood of a city, and the Zhangjiang Garden City is well connected by all transport types, both internally and within the larger medical zone, reaching out to greater Shanghai. An attractive landscaped boulevard is the central spine for Zhangjiang Garden City, connecting from north to south and linking all 3 central parks. The major road system is treated as “2 grand boulevards plus avenues”, providing smooth connections with attractive landscape and urban interfaces. Movement for the large residential population is assisted by an increase in the minor road density, providing more quiet residential and school streets for daily life.
A healthy and successful city needs a strong community infrastructure. Zhangjiang Garden City provides a wide range of attractive facilities for the social, health, cultural and entertainment needs of residents. The central spine is a connective civic axis, arranging all key community infrastructure along the boulevard at the heart of the Zhangjiang Garden City. The foundation concept for Zhangjiang Garden City begins with a simple gesture – within the road and water frame of the precinct, an elegant curving branch grows, supporting three beautiful green leaves.
