从宜兴著名的竹林获取灵感，本商业街由一系列充满动感的建筑线状体构成，连接了道路与滨水岸。
线状体宛如轻风中摇摆的竹子般倾斜并重叠，赋予了本项目别具一格的风貌。
商业街不只是一条零售流线，更是一条连接东侧酒店与西侧文化场馆的关键纽带。基地内所有的步行通道都通向水岸，公共空间流动蜿蜒，创造了一个流动的空间的系统，连接起了各个区域和公园。从主要步行轴线到私密的零售通廊，从大型的庆典广场到小型的餐饮和娱乐广场，都有公共生活、商业活动、交通系统都在其中串联起来。
5个广场是场地内活跃的中心，不但从水平面连接了道路与滨水岸，更立体地将地下层与上层建筑串联，使整个场地融为一体。
清晰的结构布局来源于建筑形态的动感，从二层到四层错落的零售与活动覆盖了底层开放的中轴，赋予了这500米长的轴线许多新奇的空间。
大型的六边形风雨廊覆盖了整条轴线，为户外空间提供了全年的庇护。

Drawing inspiration from the famous bamboo forests of the area, the Yixing commercial street is a dynamic sequence of building filaments, inclining and overlapping, to form an energetic waterfront streetscape.
The commercial street serves not only as a retail spine but a key connection between nearby hotel and cultural precincts to the East and West of the site.
Public spaces operate at a diversity of scales, expanding and shifting to create a fluid spatial system which connects to nearby development zones and parks in the area.
The concept brings together a diverse range of program from intimate retail arcades and dining, to large celebration spaces, flowing beneath a distinctive hexagonal canopy which provides shelter and respite to outdoor spaces along the ~500m journey.
